Fark! This morning i was telling customers that the worst of the christmas season was over, and that we were gonna be pretty quiet seeing the week out. With the benefit of hindsight, i can safely say that i was talking dickhead. We were ultima-inundated with old wogs, busy busy businesses and Deborah Kennedy.

Yes! Deborah "ABC Newsreader of the Century*" Kennedy came to my til and asked me if we had any of the small panettones (italian christmas cakes) left.
"Ms Kennedy, i'm afraid our panettone stock near sells out by november. All we have left is a pretty miserable excuse for a range" i replied. Smooth? Damn right!
She was stoked that i recognized her, and we chatted about her recent trip to Tuscany.

I also mopped up where someone dropped a glass jar of sour cherries, and helped Augusto load cartons of Baci chocolates in his car. In between wigging out at the checkout:)
